Sakaro, the Second Mine of MIDROC Gold

An agreement for the mining of gold at Sakaro area of the Odo-Shakisso Woreda of Guji Zone in the Oromia Regional State was signed between Midroc Gold Mine PLC and the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Ethiopia on 24 November 2009 at Sheraton Addis. H.E. Ato Alemayehu Tegenu, Minister of the Ministry of Mines and Energy and Dr. Arega Yirdaw, CEO of MIDROC Ethiopia Technology Group and General Manager of MIDROC Gold Mine PLC were the respective signatories.
