Recent Grants for Construction of Schools

Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi granted 16 Million Birr in the second half of 2009 for the construction of three schools in Arsi Zone, Oromyia State. This grant is just one sign of his unreserved and continuous effort to the development of education and manpower development in Ethiopia.

It is to be recalled that, in the recent past, Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi has made a contribution of over Birr 50 Million for the expansion of the facilities at the Gonder University.

In a similar event, Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi has also contributed over 40 Million Birr for the construction of the Library of the Institute of Ethiopian Studies at the Addis Ababa University.  The Library is expected to be of an international standard which will help scholars develop and widen their knowledge of Ethiopia and its history.

His previous huge investment to build Educational Institutes at Burayo, run by MIDROC Education and Training Institute (METI) Project is also under progress. One should also take note of the on-going higher education institution, Unity University, which is one of the MIDROC Ethiopia Investment outlays under the MIDROC Ethiopia Technology Group.
