Sheikh Mohammed Transferred USD 100 million to Ethiopia

Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi has transferred a total of USD 100 million (USD one hundred million) to Dashen Bank S.C. in August 2009, with the objectives of availing funds for on going projects and relieving the shortage of foreign currency in Ethiopia. 

Apart from his huge business investments and transactions in the Ethiopian economy, Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi has always proved his sincere support in times of serious needs of Ethiopia and is admirably known for his philanthropic activities and his unlimited contributions to different social causes.  He has to date donated hundreds of millions of Birr for various social development activities such as the construction of schools, hospitals, and rural roads. 

Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi believes that the future of Ethiopia is more important to him than ever before.  On various occasions he got across his yearning wishes and said “… by joining hands with government, other private sector operators and concerned citizens, I am determined to play a more meaningful role to achieve the revitalization of economic growth, social advancement and total elimination of poverty.”  So, this transfer of USD 100 million to Ethiopia is part of his opportune contribution in critical times.
