Addis Ababa (November 4, 2020) – The Construction Wing of the MIDROC Ethiopia Group (MEG) today officially launched Balanced Scorecard (BSC) based Strategic Planning Development.
The strategic planning process launched at MEG’s headquarters is part of the overall restructuring effort of the Group Companies which is already began months back.
Management members from six constructions and real estate companies of the group were in attendance at the launching event meant to communicate the road map to the development of business unit strategy for the companies.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MEG Ato Sultan Mohammed Alya on the occasion explained to the audience that the main objective of the strategic planning is creating specific business strategies for three years and effectively implementing them to achieve the company’s overall long-term goals and desires.
According to the Deputy CEO, strategic planning is vital to proactively address management issues in an organized and systematic manner.
Ato Adebabay Abay, the independent consultant who shared his experience at the occasion on his part said BSC-based is an outstanding management tool that ensures a holistic and balanced strategic plan.
He also indicated that it is a means to track performance over time to assess whether goals are being met or not and it could be monitored and measured.
